Sobivet Injection

Composition :

Each ml injectable solution contains Sodium Bicarbonate BP 75 mg.

Description :

Sodium bicarbonate is used to relieve heartburn, sour stomach, or acid indigestion by neutralizing excess stomach acid. Sodium bicarbonate is a very quick-acting antacid. It may be used to treat the symptoms of stomach or duodenal ulcers. Sodium bicarbonate used as a dairy cow feed supplement, the buffering capability of sodium bicarbonate helps stabilize rumen pH by reducing acidic conditions.

Indications :

• Metabolic acidosis in cattle, horse, sheep, swine and dogs.
• Uncontrolled diabetes, circulatory insufficiency due to shock or severe dehydration, cardiac arrest and severe primary lactic acidosis. 
• Acute carbohydrate engorgement, bloat, Barbiturate toxicity,
• Severe diarrhea which is often accompanied by a significant loss of bicarbonate in body.
• Helps to stabilize rumen pH.

Contra-Indications :

Sodium Bicarbonate is contraindicated in animals losing chloride by vomiting and in animals receiving diuretics known to produce a hypochloremic alkalosis.

Dosage and Administration :

1.78-4.46 ml/kg body weight or 100 ml/ 22-56 kg body weight; intravenously.

Or, as directed by the Veterinary Physician. 

Precautions :

This is a sterile single dose vial. No preservatives have been added. Discard unused portion after use. Do not use if solution is hazy, cloudy or contains a precipitate.

Storage Condition :

Store at a temperature below 30 ⁰C, protected from light & keep in a dry and cool place. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
