Nitroxinil is effective for adult flukes and at a higher dosage for immature flukes and also Haemonchus in cattle and sheep, Cattle: Oesophagostomum and Bunostomum Sheep: Nasal bots Ruminants: Some Gastrointestinal Roundworms. However, it should not be regarded or used as a broad-spectrum anthelmintic.
It is indicated for the treatment of fascioliasis (infestation of mature and immature Fasciola hepatica) in cattle and sheep. At the recommended dose rate, it is also effective against adult and larval infestations of Haemonchus contortus in cattle and sheep and Haemonchus placei, Oesophagostomum radiatum, and Bunostomum phlebotomy in cattle.
Nitrovet Injection should be injected only by subcutaneous route.
Cattle & Sheep: By subcutaneous injection 1 ml for 25 kg body weight.
Acute fascioliasis by subcutaneous route up to 1 ml for 16.5 kg body weight.
Or, as prescribed by the Registered Veterinary Physician.
Small swelling is occasionally observed at the injection site in cattle. It can be avoided by injecting the dose into two separate sites and massaging well to disperse the solution.
No systemic ill effects are to be expected when animals (including pregnant cows and ewes) are treated at a normal dosage.
Not for intravenous or intramuscular use.
Meat: Cattle: 30 days; Sheep: 25 days.
Milk: 5 days.

Each carton contains one vial of 10 ml or 50 ml injectable solution.
