Sulfadiazine BP 150 mg,
Trimethoprim BP 30 mg.

This preparation is water soluble antibiotic powder containing a combination of three potent anti-bacterial agents, erythromycin, sulphadiazine, & trimethoprim. This combination provides broad spectrum activity against a wide range of bacterial & some protozoal infections. Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic highly effective against gram positive bacteria. and Mycoplasma. It is also effective against some gram-negative bacteria such as Nessaria spp. & Haemophilus spp. Erythromycin works by biriding with 50s ribosomal subunit Consequently inhibit protein synthesis of bacteria. Sulphadiazine inhibits biosynthesis of PABA to dihydrosulphonic acid & Trymethoprim inhibits the biosynthesis of tetrahydrofolic acid from dihydrofolic acid,
Poultry: This preparation is indicated for the treatment of diseases caused by different Gram positive & gram negative bacteria such as polluram diseases. Fowl typhoid. fowl cholera. bacilosis, Septicemia, necrotic enteritis, nonspecific enteritis: respiratory tract diseases (CRD, bronchopneumonia), urinary & genital tract diseases and coccidiosis. This preparation pecially indicated when other antibiotics and chemotherapeutics fail due to resistance problem.
Calves & foals: This preparation is indicated in respiratory & gastro-intestinal tract infections like bronchopneumonia, bronchitis, diarrhea, enteritis & scour.
Fish: This preparation is indicated in gram-positive cocci infections of fish.
Should not be used for the animal hypersensitive to active ingredients.
Oral administration only.
Poultry: 0.5 to 1.0 gm per litter of drinking water for 3-5 days. The medicated water should be freshly prepared each day & the birds must not be allowed any excess water during treatment through the medicated water.
Calves/foals: 7.5 gm per 50 kg body weight, for 3-5 days. Or, as directed by the registered veterinary physician.
Fish: 1 gm per 10 kg body weight, for 3-5 days.
Or as directed by the registered veterinarian Physician.
Macrolide antibiotics should not be used with Chloramphenicol, Tylosin, or Lincosamides.
The combination is well tolerated and does not show any side effects in poultry at the recommended dose.
Treatment would be stopped before 5 days of slaughter.
Egg: 6 days, Meat: 5 days.
Store at a temperature below 30 ⁰C, protected from light & keep in a dry and cool place. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
