Bosvet Injection

Composition :

Each 10 ml solution contains Butaphosphan INN 1 gm and Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B₁₂) BP 0.5 mg.

Description :

• Butaphosphan is an organic phosphorus compound used as an injectable source of phosphorus in animals to replenish serum phosphorus levels. Phosphorus is essential in energy metabolism, supports liver function, and stimulates fatigued smooth and cardiac muscle.
• Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B₁₂) plays an important role in particular protein, carbohydrate, and fat metabolism.

Indications :

Improve metabolism & strengthen resistance, promote the growth of young animals, support the treatment of infertility, in debility, in convalescence, as a general tonic in cases of stress, overexertion, improve performance & muscular efficiency especially in animals meant for working, sports & breeding purposes, as a supportive therapy for metabolic disorders like hypocalcemic paresis, in anoestrus etc. and for preventing cannibalism & feather picking in birds & for shortening the moulting period in poultry.

Dosage and Administration :

For Subcutaneous, Intramuscular, or Intravenous administration.

Horse & Cattle : 10-25 ml
Foal & Calf : 5-12 ml
Sheep & Goat : 2.5-5 ml
Dog : 0.5-5 ml
Cat & Fur animal : 0.5-2.5 ml
Poultry : 1 ml
After chronic illness half of the above mentioned dose should be administered. If needed repeat at interval of 1-2 weeks.

Or, as prescribed by the registered Veterinarian.

Side Effects :

Bosvet Injection is usually nontoxic even in large dosage. However, mild transient diarrhea, itch and urticaria may occur in several cases.

Precautions :

Avoid injection of animals in wet weather or dusty condition as far as possible. Check expire date on pack before use. 

Storage Condition :

Store at a temperature below 30 ⁰C, protected from light & keep in a dry and cool place. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.

Packing :

Each carton contains one vial of 50 ml or 100 ml solution.
