Each ml solution contains Buparvaquone BP 50 mg.
Buparvaquone is a second-generation hydroxynaphtaquinone used for the therapy and prophylaxis of all forms of Theileriosis.
Theileriosis is a tick-transmitted disease, caused by the intracellular protozoan parasites Theileria parva (East Coast fever, Corridor disease, Zimbabwean Theileriosis) and T. annulata (tropical Theileriosis) in Cattle.
Buparvet is active against both the schizont and piroplasm stages of Theileria spp., and can be used during the incubation period or when clinical signs are present.
For Intramuscular Administration
General Dosage: 10 ml per 200 kg body weight.
In severe cases, the treatment may be repeated within 48 – 72 hours.
Do not administer more than 10 ml per injection site.
Successive injections should be administered at different sites.
Localized, painless, oedematous swelling may occasionally be seen at the injection site.
Buparvet should not be given by Intravenous or Subcutaneous injection.
For Meat: 42 days
For Milk: 2 days
Store at a temperature below 25 ⁰C, protect from light & keep in a dry and cool place. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
Each carton contains one vial of 10 ml and 50 ml.
